Sevilla vs Real MadridHigh-flying Sevilla will be looking for sixth victory on the bounce when they host title contenders Real Madrid, who are desperate to make amends for the 4-3 El Clasico defeat.

Seeing as how they stayed without quite a few first team regulars and did not exactly sign worthy replacements, los Rojiblancos were predicted a very difficult season.

And while they experienced some problems in the early exchanges, Unai Emery’s charges have been thoroughly impressive of late and are currently exceeding all expectations.

Sevilla managed to overturn a two-goal deficit against fierce rivals Real Betis to qualify for the Europa League quarter-finals, while seriously improving their league position.

After winning five straight La Liga fixtures, los Rojiblancos sit in fifth place, some eight points behind the final Champions League berth.

Taking into account that the pressure is now completely on their next opponents, Sevilla can be backed at 5.75 (19/4) to pour more misery on Real Madrid.

Javi Varas looks set to start between the sticks as Beto has picked up an injury, whilst Sebastian Cristoforo, Daniel Carrico and Denis Cheryshev remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Varas – Coke, Fazio, Pareja, Moreno – M’Bia, Rakitic – Reyes, Gameiro, Marin – Bacca.

Real Madrid had a perfect opportunity to make a giant step towards the La Liga trophy, but Carlo Ancelotti’s men failed to continue the good run as they suffered a 4-3 home defeat to arch rivals Barcelona.

This has seen them slip to the second place in the league standings behind local rivals Atletico, although they are still a point in front of the Catalans.

However, given the fact there are just nine games until the end of the campaign, Real clearly need to return to winning ways as soon as possible, but this is hardly a perfect time to be playing Sevilla.

Even so, los Blancos have been made 1.57 (4/7) favourites to win at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as online bookmakers seem to think they have what it takes to recover from the Barcelona setback.

Sergio Ramos and Angel Di Maria miss out through suspension, whilst Sami Khedira, Alvaro Arbeloa and Jese Rodriguez are out injured.

Rafael Varane and Asier Illarramendi are expected to deputize for the two starters, with no other changes expected.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lopez – Carvajal, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo – Alonso, Illarramendi, Modric – Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.
