Atletico Madrid vs SevillaFresh from the Europa League triumph over Borussia M’gladbach, Sevilla play host to La Liga holders Atletico Madrid hoping to improve their top 4 hopes.

Los Colchoneros were beaten by Bayer Leverkusen in midweek and they will want to make amends by winning at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Having won the Europa League trophy last term, Sevilla were well aware they would need a big squad if they were to be successful on all fronts, and Unai Emery’s rotation policy has worked really well so far.

While los Rojiblancos were knocked out of the Copa del Rey, they did well to reach the Europa League Last 16 Stage, with league rivals Villarreal awaiting in the next round.

Following the 1-0 triumph at home, Sevilla also defeated Borussia M’gladbach on the road on Thursday, which should give the team another reason for optimism ahead of the Atletico game.

The problem is, however, that los Rojiblancos’ league form has been far from impressive of late, with Unai Emery’s charges seriously damaging their Champions League hopes with three defeats in last four.

As a result, they now sit five points behind fourth-placed Valencia, and are available at 3.10 (21/10) to make things right by beating Atletico.

According to the latest reports, centre-back Nico Pareja is unlikely to make the squad, but Stephane M’Bia has returned into action.

Full-back Coke is expected to return to the starting line-up, while Iago Aspas, Beto and Sebastian Cristoforo continue to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Rico – Coke, Carrico, Kolodziejczak, Tremoulinas – M’Bia, Krychowiak – Vitolo, Banega, Vidal – Bacca.

Just like their next opponents, Atletico Madrid have successful competed on all fronts until recently, but there has been some cause for concern of late.

While crashing out of the Copa del Rey, los Colchoneros were beaten by Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their Champions League Last 16 stage tie, and now face a difficult task ahead of the return match.

Meanwhile, the unexpected loss to Celta Vigo seems to have all but ended their hopes to defending La Liga trophy, with Real Madrid now seven points in front.

Even so, Atletico need to continue with strong performances in the league if they are to avoid any surprises and they can be backed at 2.60 (8/5) to defeat Sevilla on the road.

Diego Simeone will be without Saul Niguez and Guilherme Siqueira, who suffered injuries in midweek, while Koke has resumed training but is still not ready to play.

It is important to note that Atletico have largely struggled on the road of late, losing four of last six away matches in all competitions.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Moya – Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Gamez – Turan, Gabi, Tiago, Garcia – Mandzukic, Griezmann.
