Getafe vs ValenciaStruggling Getafe will be hoping to extend a three-match winning run at home when they face Valencia, a team that have been in great form at the start of the season.

It was only thanks to impressive finish of the league campaign that los Azulones avoided relegation last term, with ten points from last four fixtures proving crucial for their survival.

And with Getafe starting the new season with virtually unchanged squad, it is hardly surprising they find themselves in the danger zone once again.

Los Azulones did win the only home fixture of the campaign, bearing Almeria 1-0, but they were soundly beaten by Celta Vigo and Sevilla on the road.

And even though Getafe have won each of their last three home matches in La Liga, there is little value in backing them to win at 3.90 (29/10).

Los Azulones were defeated by Valencia in the same fixture last term and I cannot see them faring much better this time out.

Mehdi Lacen is set to miss out with a hamstring problem, while it remains to be seen whether Pedro Leon will be in contention given some doubts over his registration.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Guaita – Arroyo, Naldo, Alexis, Escudero – Michel, Rodriguez – Sarabia, Sammir, Lafita – Vazquez.

After finishing the previous league campaign in eighth position, Valencia have big ambitions for the current season, even if they still await the club takeover to be completed.

Los Che started the season well on the back of a heavy summer recruitment and they already occupy the Champions League positions.

Staying there come end of the league campaign should prove to be a much more difficult task, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are taking it one step at a time.

After playing out a 1-1 draw with Europa League holders Sevilla on the road, Valencia recorded convincing victories over Malaga and Espanyol at Mestalla, and they are 2.10 (11/10) to extend the impressive run at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

The good news is summer signing Shkodran Mustafi is finally fit to make his debut, but Rodrigo De Paul continues to serve a suspension.

Alvaro Negredo has resumed light training, but he is still few weeks away from returning into action, while Andre Gomes should start despite suffering a minor knock in training.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Alves – Barragan, Otamendi, Mustafi, Gaya – Parejo, Fuego – Rodrigo, Gomes, Piatti – Alcacer.
