La Coruna vs GetafeHaving finally climbed out of the relegation zone, Deportivo La Coruna will be eager to keep the good run going when they host Getafe on Friday.

Meanwhile, los Azulones remained at a safe distance from the bottom three in spite of the home loss to Atletico Madrid, and they are now searching for the second successive win on the road.

At a time when their Riazor stadium is celebrating 70 years of existence, Deportivo are fighting tooth and nail for La Liga survival.

The Galician side appear to have enough quality and experience to avoid the drop, but they will have to work hard to live up to the potential.

Deportivo were pretty unfortunate to take mere four points from first seven league fixtures, having showed plenty of promise in some matches, and they have finally managed to return to the right track.

The 3-0 triumph over red-hot Valencia acted as a huge confidence boost at just the right time and La Coruna have since held Espanyol to a goalless draw at Cornella El Prat.

And with Getafe hardly a force to be reckoned with away from home, Victor Fernandez’s charges look a good bet at 2.20 (6/5).

Veteran defender Manuel Pablo looks set to miss out, whilst Lucas Perez is doubtful with a knee problem, but Juan Dominguez returns.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Fabricio – Juanfran, Insua, Sidnei, Luisinho – Wilk, Medunjanin – Cuenca, Lucas Perez, Farina – Cavaleiro.

Having long ago established themselves as a genuine mid table side in La Liga, Getafe are on the road to lose that status as another relegation tussle looms on the horizon.

After narrowly avoiding the drop last term, los Azulones have been far from impressive at the start of the new campaign and their results currently far outweigh the performances.

Taking 10 points from 9 games, Getafe climbed to middle of the standings, but unless team’s displays improve considerably, they will quickly drop into the danger zone.

Los Azulones ended a three-match unbeaten run as they lost at home to La Liga holders Atletico Madrid, but they are unlikely to be too downhearted by the result.

And having beaten Real Sociedad in their previous away fixture, Getafe can be backed at 3.80 (14/5) to defeat La Coruna as well.

Important defender Alexis starts a four-match ban, but Alvaro Arroyo and Miguel Alfonso Herrera are ready to return into action. Juan Valera faces a fitness test.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Guaita – Valera, Velazquez, Naldo, Escudero – Lacen, Rodriguez – Yoda, Sammir, Hinestroza – Lafita.
