Atletico vs ValenciaHigh-flying Deportivo La Coruna are slowly losing momentum and are now set to face a difficult match against very good Atletico Madrid side.

Los Colchoneros have won last three in all competitions and, therefore, arrive at Riazor brimming with confidence.

After narrowly escaping the drop last term, Deportivo did well to reinforce their ranks over the summer, adding some qualty players to the squad.

And with the new faces fitting in straight away, La Coruna enjoyed one of the most impressive starts in recent years, quickly climbing to European positions.

Nevertheless, it was only a matter of time when their descend in the La Liga standings was going to start and it appears that is happening at the moment.

Following the back to back draws with Granada and Athletic Bilbao, La Coruna were beaten by Malaga last time out and will now have to improve if they want to stop red-hot Atletico.

With Fabri and Manu still sidelined through injury, goalkeeper German Lux will again be forced to play through the pain, which could prove to be a serious issue in the long run.

Oriol Riera and Cani miss out as well, whereas Bosnia international Haris Medunjanin is finally included in the squad after being constantly overlooked by coach Victor Sanchez.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Lux – Juanfran, Arribas, Sidnei, Navarro – Fajr, Borges, Mosquera, Cartabia – Alberto, Lucas Perez.

Atletico Madrid enjoyed another strong start to the season, winning five of first six games in all competitions, but they experienced a dip in form at the end of last month.

Back to back losses to Villarreal and Benfica spelled trouble for Diego Simeone, but the very good performance in the 1-1 draw with Real Madrid proved the turning point.

A solid showing against a top team was just what los Colchoneros needed at the time and they were soon back to their best.

Atletico have since defeated Real Sociedad, Astana and Valencia, with Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco especially impressive in recent games.

Los Colchoneros now aim to take advantage of Deportivo’s injury problems and they are 1.74 (8/11) to make it four on the bounce.

Apart from Luciano Vietto, Diego Simeone has no unavailable players at the moment and he should field his strongest side.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Oblak – Juanfran, Gimenez, Godin, Filipe Luis – Ferreira-Carrasco, Gabi, Tiago, Koke – Griezmann, Martinez.
