Real Madrid vs BarcelonaEstadio de Mestalla in Valencia will host the Copa del Rey final clash between the El Clasico rivals, with premium entertainment on the cards.

The Catalans may have triumphed at the previous encounter as they won the league clash at the Bernabeu, but Real Madrid go into the game in much better spirits.

This season seems to be going from bad to worse for Barcelona, as the team are now out of Europe and miles away from the La Liga trophy.

Back to back defeats to Atletico Madrid and Granada have acted as a serious blow to the players’ confidence and it remains to be seen if the Catalans can produce the right response in the Real Madrid clash.

A Copa del Rey trophy would not turn this season into a success, but it would be more than welcome at what is a very difficult time for the club.

And taking into account that Tata Martino’s side have won both league clashes against Real Madrid this season, there may be value in backing Barcelona to win the game at 2.50 (3/2).

Lionel Messi will be keen to prove the doubters wrong after receiving heavy criticism of late, and the Argentine superstar is 2.00 (1/1) to score anytime.

Tata Martino faces a genuine defensive headache as Gerard Pique, Marc Bartra and Carles Puyol are all doubtful, while Victor Valdes remains sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Pinto – Alves, Bartra, Mascherano, Alba – Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta – Fabregas, Messi, Neymar.

Real Madrid are doing much better than their bitter rivals this season as they remain in the hunt for three major trophies, although they did suffer several scares of late.

Los Blancos were made to work hard for a place in the Champions League semi-finals despite winning the first leg against Borussia 3-0 before being pitted against holders Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, they remain three points adrift of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid with just five games to go, but with los Colchoneros visiting Camp Nou on the final day of the league campaign, their title hopes remain very much alive.

Real Madrid will have a chance to win the first major trophy of the season when they face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final on Wednesday, with los Blancos 2.02 (51/50) to lift the coveted trophy.

However, they look set to be without star player Cristiano Ronaldo, who is sidelined with a muscle injury, although Sergio Ramos should return.

Marcelo, Alvaro Arbeloa, Sami Khedira and Jese Rodriguez will not be in contention as they battle various injuries.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lopez – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao – Modric, Alonso, Di Maria – Isco, Benzema, Bale.
