Celta Vigo are probably the last team that can prevent Real Madrid from lifting the La Liga trophy this season, but for that to happen, the Sky Blues will need to end an eight-match winless run.

Los Blancos, on the other hand, hammered Sevilla at the weekend and are now just two wins away from winning the league.

Once they secured La Liga survival, Celta Vigo shifted their focus towards the Europa League campaign, but eventually narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

Meanwhile, their second-string side lost five successive league fixtures and the poor run saw the Sky Blues slip to 13th in the overall standings.

Nevertheless, Celta Vigo are likely to face Real Madrid at full strength, meaning said record cannot really give us a hint of what to expect on Wednesday.

The Sky Blues managed to defeat Barcelona at Balaidos back in October 2016 and the Catalans will be hoping they can do the same against los Blancos.

A number of first team regulars will be recalled after they were rested in the 3-1 defeat to Deportivo Alaves, but Giuseppe Rossi remains sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Alvarez – Mallo, Cabral, Roncaglia, Jonny – Hernandez, Radoja – Aspas, Wass, Sisto – Guidetti.

Real Madrid are slowly wrapping up a thoroughly impressive season, although they need to remain focused and win the remaining three fixtures in order to avoid any surprises.

Los Blancos will be vying Juventus for the Champions League trophy on 3rd June in Cardiff, but they will first try and win the two La Liga fixtures and secure the league title.

The first major obstacle was crossed with success as Real Madrid hammered Sevilla 4-1 on Sunday evening, although they did experience some problems in the first period.

Next up is the trip to Balaidos, where los Blancos are priced at 1.22 (2/9) to claim maximum points and make an important step towards the La Liga trophy.

Head coach Zinedine Zidane is expected to make several changes to the starting line-up as Isco, Casemiro, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema will be recalled, but Pepe, Daniel Carvajal and Gareth Bale are still in the treatment room.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Navas – Danilo, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo – Modric, Casemiro, Kroos – Isco – Ronaldo, Benzema.
