Real vs BarcelonaEven if each team will play another ten games after the clash at Camp Nou, Sunday’s El Clasico could give Barcelona or Real an important advantage ahead of the season finale.

The hosts are one point clear and in better form at the moment, but los Blancos are aware they can right all the wrongs by winning this match.

New Barcelona coach Luis Enrique needed a while to make this team his own, having even clashed with superstar Leo Messi, but things appear to have fallen into place at Camp Nou.

The Argentine forward has been playing at a very high level of late and he received worldwide recognition for the marvellous performance against Manchester City despite missing several good chances to score.

With Luis Suarez, Neymar and other players also contributing, the Catalans have been virtually unstoppable since losing the first match of 2015, having won 17 of last 18 matches in all competitions.

And even though they will now be facing bitter rivals Real Madrid, Barcelona have been made 1.75 (3/4) favourites to claim maximum points, whilst Leo Messi is 1.80 (4/5) to score anytime.

Sergio Busquets has resumed light training after recovering from an ankle injury, but he is unlikely to start, meaning Javier Mascherano should continue in midfield.

Claudio Bravo will be recalled to the starting line-up, and that could be the only change to the side that defeated Manchester City in midweek,

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Bravo – Alves, Pique, Mathieu, Alba – Rakitic, Mascherano, Iniesta – Messi, Suarez, Neymar.

Just few weeks back, Real Madrid were four points clear at the La Liga summit and on the verge of Champions League quarter-finals having defeated Schalke in the first leg at Veltins Arena.

However, the team have made a real mess out of their season since, suffering two successive slip-ups in the league while almost crashing out of Europe’s elite competition after the 4-3 home loss to the Miners.

Even if the players restored some of the lost confidence by defeating Levante last weekend, they are clearly under tremendous pressure ahead of the clash with red-hot Barcelona.

The only good news of late has been the return of influential midfielder Luka Modric, who has proved his fitness in the past couple of weeks and is set to start at Camp Nou.

Following several under-par performances, Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to prove his worth in El Clasico and while Real are 4.75 (15/4) to emerge victorious, he is 2.75 (7/4) to score anytime.

Toni Kroos is set to return after he was rested against Levante, but Sami Khedira and James Rodriguez remain in the infirmary.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Casillas – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Modric, Kroos, Isco – Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.
