BBC Sport is reporting that Barcelona have beaten arch rivals Real Madrid to the signing of Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes.
The Portuguese footballer was believed to be on the verge of moving to Santiago Bernabeu, only for the Catalans to make a late bid and agree a transfer fee with los Che.
According to reports, the total cost of the transfer could be £45.8 million, and chances are that the agreement will be made official during the day.
