Spanish giants Barcelona have stated they are satisfied with Neymar’s recovery from the back injury the forward picked up at the 2014 World Cup.
The 22-year-old suffered a fractured vertebra in the quarter-final clash against Colombia and missed the semi-final against Germany where Brazil were hammered 7-1.
Neymar has been recovering at his home since with Barcelona medical team visiting the player to check on his progress.
“The injury is progressing very well,” the official statement from the La Liga side read.
“From 5 August the player will continue his treatment and the final stage of his recovery in Barcelona.”
Following the arguably most difficult night in the national team history, the World Cup experience got even worse for the Seleccao fans as Argentina secured progress into the final.
And even though Germany are considered favourites for the trophy after hammering Brazil, Los Albicelestes can be backed at 2.25 (5/4) to lift the coveted title.
