Spanish national team leads the way in Group G with a three-point advantage in front second-placed Italy and need four points to secure their place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Julen Lopetegui’s men will need to make it happen over the next two games later this week as Spain prepares to play host to Albania before travelling to Israel to complete the qualifying campaign.

Spanish national team head coach had several selection issues ahead of the next two clashes with Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal, Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta and Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata all sidelined with respective injuries.

Real Madrid defender has been ruled out of action with a heart problem that is likely to keep him out up to six weeks.

Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta has picked up a hamstring injury against Las Palmas and will be out for around ten days, whereas the 24-year-old Chelsea striker Morata was forced off his side’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City with a hamstring problem.

A grade two hamstring strain will keep Morata sidelined for at least two weeks.

Spain have called up La Liga trio Aritz Aduriz, Alvaro Odriozola and Jonathan Viera instead of the three aforementioned players.

Athletic Bilbao veteran striker is returning to the national side whereas Odriozola and Viera make it into the senior squad for the first time.

Spain stand at 1.50 (1/2) betting odds to win to nil against Albania on Friday and continue their impressive run of results which saw them go 12 games unbeaten to date.
