Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has admitted that rumours concerning a switch to Real Madrid are not his concern.

The Senegalese has enjoyed a stunning season at Anfield, leading to suggestions of a potential switch to the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos are reportedly interested in acquiring his services in a summer overhaul of their squad under Zinedine Zidane. However, Mane has told that he is instead focussing on his future with the Reds.

Talking to Sky Sports, he said: “Always this is part of football, so we have to deal with it, but for me the most important thing is Liverpool and I’m happy here.

“It’s always a pleasure that this kind of team wants [you], but don’t forget Liverpool. They beat big teams.

“I’m preparing for one of the biggest games for the club and the fans and the players as well, so let’s focus on this one first and win it.”

Mane will be hoping he can add to his four goals scored in the UEFA Champions League so far this season as Liverpool come up against Tottenham Hotspur in the final on Saturday.

He is at odds of 9/2 with Paddy Power to score the opening goal in Madrid.
