Wolverhampton Wanderers could potentially lose one of their star players, with midfielder Ruben Neves being linked to Italian giants Juventus.

According to CalcioMercato, the player’s representative, Jorge Mendes, has offered the Portuguese to the reigning Serie A. champions A potential move could apparently be signed off as soon as January as Max Allegri’s men look to bolster their midfield options.

However, one potential stumbling block could be the player’s current contract. Neves only signed a new contract with the Midlands outfit in July, securing his future at Molineux for a further five years until 2023.

Neves has been one of the star performers under Nuno Espirito Santo after he followed the 44-year-old from former club FC Porto in the 2017 summer transfer window. He impressed last season as Wolves earned promotion from the Championship by making 42 appearances, and scoring six goals – many of them impressive strikes from range.

The 21-year-old has also been a virtual ever-present in the Premier, making a further 15 appearances and scoring two goals, one of those coming on his top-flight debut against Everton.

Wolves could make it three Premier League wins in a row this weekend as they host AFC Bournemouth. Neves is at 9/1 with Paddy Power to score the opening goal of the game.
