Real Madrid are reportedly ready to confirm the transfer of Chelsea wideman Eden Hazard after agreeing a transfer fee with the London club, according to reports in France.
L’Equipe report that a fee of €100m, approximately £86m, has been tabled by Zinedine Zidane’s Los Blancos which has been accepted by Chelsea. It is also suggested that personal terms between Real and Hazard have been agreed upon and that the arrival of the Belgian will be announced following the UEFA Europa League final between Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 28-year-old has been a key member of the Chelsea squad since arriving from Lille in 2012. He has made 351 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 108 goals and providing a further 91. Hazard has also won plenty of silverware too including two Premier League titles, a Europa League crown, an FA Cup title and a League Cup. He was also brilliant in the Premier League this season as Chelsea finished third, scoring and providing 16 and 15 goals respectively.
The club have already organised a replacement to arrive in West London this summer, with American winger Christian Pulisic set to join from Borussia Dortmund.
Following the reports of Hazard’s imminent departure, the bookmakers agree that Spain is his most likely destination. The Belgian can be backed at a price of 1/9 with Betfair to sign for Los Blancos.
