La Liga biggest rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona could get locked in a tug of war over a Flamengo fledging prospect Lincoln this winter.

The 16-year-old Brazilian striker was a standout performer at recently finished Under-17 FIFA World Cup in India where he scored three goals and put a string of impressive displays.

Following his exploits with the Brazilian national side Lincoln was fast-tracked into Flamengo first-team squad whereas he also caught an eye from two of Spain and Europe’s biggest clubs – Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Reigning La Liga and Champions League winners are set to go head to head with fierce rivals Barcelona in pursuit of a youngster believed to be one of the most talented strikers in the world.

Los Blancos are hoping that pre-agreement with Lincoln’s teammate Vinicius Junior could play a big part in their attempt to pip Barcelona to the striker’s signature. Barcelona are expected to put up a fight and battle for the 16-year-old’s signature until the end.

That said, Spanish media outlet Marca reports La Liga giants have been informed they will need to fork out at least €30 million in an effort to land a youngster who is renowned for possessing great pace and technical ability.

Flamengo play Cruzeiro on Thursday at Estadio Luso Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro and look a good bet at 1.95 (19/20) to record a win to help them move up from the seventh place in the Brasileirao Serie A standings.
