Paris Saint Germain will look to continue their perfect start to the Ligue 1 campaign on Friday in a top-of-the-table clash with Lille OSC.

Thomas Tuchel’s troops have won their first 11 games in league play and currently sit eight points clear at the top of the French standings following a 2-0 win over Olympique Marseille last time out. They are outstanding favourites with the bookies to claim another victory and can be backed at 1/5 with William Hill.

Elsewhere, the visitors this weekend have also enjoyed an excellent start to the new campaign. Les Dogues are currently sitting second in Ligue 1 after winning eight out of their opening 11 games. They won their last league game 1-0 against Caen but were eliminated from the Coupe de la Ligue after a 2-0 defeat to Strasbourg. They could make it five league wins in a row against PSG, something they have not achieved since April 2016. Clear underdogs, they have odds of 14/1 with Coral to notch victory.

Meanwhile, there has not been a draw between the two teams in the league since early 2016. This eventuality can be backed at 6/1.

One aspect that Lille will clearly have to be wary of is PSG’s ability to find the net. Having already scored 39 goals so far this season, the hosts have netted at least 17 more goals than any other team in the league. They have scored at least three goals in every single league game but one so far this season. This can be backed at 8/11 to occur.

In the last ten matches between the two teams, both teams have scored in six of those, so goals could be expected. That eventuality has odds of 3/4 with BetVictor.

Current Ligue 1 top goalscorer Kylian Mbappe is one of the favourites to open the scoring at the Parc de Princes. He has scored ten goals already this season and can be backed to hit the opening goal at 3/1 with Paddy Power. Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe has also enjoyed a great start to the season having notched seven strikes and provided five assists. He is currently at 12/1 to score first.

In regards to injuries, Farès Bahlouli is ruled out for the away side but otherwise Christophe Galtier’s men boast an otherwise clean bill of health. Elsewhere, Paris Saint Germain have quite an extensive injury list. Defender Presnel Kimpembe is out through suspension, whilst Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva and Layvin Kurzawa will all miss the game. However, veteran defender Dani Alves has returned to training.
