Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier has revealed he dreams of playing for Manchester United one day.

The 25-year-old defender took part in PSG’s impressive 4-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday, but the Belgium international was quoted telling DH he sees his long-term future outside of the Paris-based club.

In a lengthy interview with the Belgium media outlet, Thomas Meunier explains that ‘one day’ he would love to move to England.

“I have never hidden that I am a big fan of Manchester United, which remains, the real pinnacle in the world of football”, explains Meunier, adding that he is extremely happy in Paris.

Belgium international only joined the French champions from Club Brugge last summer in a deal thought to be worth £6 million, but he seems to be already plotting a move across the channel.

Seeing his team thrive in the Champions League whereas his dream club are preparing for their Europa League tie against Saint-Etienne, Meunier is likely to change his mind when it comes to leaving PSG.

Les Parisiens are hoping to win the Champions League after years of struggling to go through to the closing stages of the elite club competition and appear to be on the right path to secure their place in the quarter-finals after impressive 4-0 rout over Barcelona.

Thomas Meunier played full 90 minutes in this match as Angel di Maria, the player who escaped Old Trafford sorrows running, inspired the French champions to monumental win.

Unai Emery’s men are right behind Real Madrid and Bayern Munich as the third-biggest favourites to win the UEFA Champions League this season with betting odds of 8.00 (7/1) @SkyBet to say Les Parisiens can lift the coveted trophy.
