Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he has already made plans for the 2019/20 season at Stamford Bridge.

There has been speculation that the Italian could be sacked at the end of the season despite only being appointed in the summer. The Blues have endured a frustrating campaign thus far this season and are sitting sixth in the Premier League table. They have also fallen 15 points behind current league leaders Manchester City.

Regardless, Sarri has insisted that he has already started preparations for next season and rumours surrounding his job are not his concern.

The 60-year-old said: “We were talking about the programme of the next pre-season, so we were trying to organise in the best way the next pre-season.

“[Speculation] is not a big problem, the problem is the results. The rest is not important in this moment. I want to win for the team, for the club, not for me. So it’s not important.

“I was confident in the past, I am confident now but I want to think only about our performances and our results.”

Sarri is one of the odds-on favourites to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job. He is available at a price of 1/2 with BetVictor.
