hysajPremier League outfit Manchester United are reportedly considering a January move for Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj.

Jose Mourinho is in the market for defensive reinforcements as he looks for long-term replacements for Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian, who is enduring a difficult time at Old Trafford this season.

Darmian is yet to start a single game for the Red Devils this term as Mourinho keeps picking Antonio Valencia and even Ashley Young, who has also been deployed at right-back.

The goalless draw against Burnely last month was the 26-year-old’s first league appearance in the 2016-17 season and with fresh Hysaj links it has become clear that Darmian does not feature in Mourinho’s plan.

According to reports coming from the Italian media outlet Il Mattino, Manchester United are preparing a bid in excess of €30 million for the Albanian international in efforts to take advantage of certain turbulences that have been recorded over the past few weeks.

Namely, Napoli head coach Maurizio Sarri has accused his defender of being ‘mentally tired’ after Napoli’s Champions League defeat to Besiktas, which is believed to have angered the 22-year-old Albanian.

Hysaj himself accepted the blame for somewhat weaker performances of late, claiming it was all due to the tiredness after excruciating national team challenges.

With things not going smoothly between the player and the coach, Manchester United are hoping to sweep in and take the player who is still regarded as one Napoli’s key assets, having made ten Serie A appearances during the ongoing campaign.

Jose Mourinho is preparing for a tough challenge in the next round of the Premier League with Manchester United coming back from the international break with a highly-anticipated clash against Arsenal.

Red Devils are looking at the betting odds of 2.63 (13/8) @Bet365 to claim all three points against their fierce rivals.
