Fiorentina vs MilanA battle for the final Champions League berth in Italian Serie A tend to be even more interesting than the title fight, and this season is no different.

Up until recently, there were a number of sides vying for a top 3 finish, but with first two positions reserved for Juventus and Napoli, AC Milan and Fiorentina are the only teams left in the race.

Just few weeks back it looked as though the Rossoneri would virtually secure Champions League qualification as they not only had a six-point advantage over Viola, but were leading 2-0 at Artemio Franchi when their opponents were reduced to ten men.

Fiorentina, nevertheless, somehow managed to earn a 2-2 draw in that match before victories over Atalanta, Torino and Sampdoria saw them close the gap to just one point.

Viola don’t have such a difficult fixture list to contend with, seeing as how they play Roma and Palermo at home and Siena and Pescara away, so there may be some value in backing them to achieve a top 3 finish at 2.63 (13/8) offered at bet365.

Milan, on the other hand, almost made a mess out of their season with a three-match winless run, but they came from behind to beat Catania at the weekend and thus remained in the driving seat.

The Rossoneri play Torino and Roma at home and Pescara and Siena away in the final four fixtures, and they are 1.44 (4/9) favourites to pip Fiorentina to the final Champions League berth.
