Roma vs CagliariSerie A leaders Roma will be keen to make amends for two successive slip-ups when they host Cagliari at their Stadio Olimpico.

Meanwhile, Isolani arrive in good spirits having ended a three-match losing run by defeating Torino at home before the international break.

Roma started the season in amazing fashion following the arrival of Rudi Garcia, winning their first ten league fixtures to open op a five-point lead at the Serie A summit.

The amazing run finally came to an end as the Giallorossi were held to a 1-1 draw at Torino, but they were expected to immediately return to winning ways having played host to Sassuolo ahead of the international break.

Rudi Garcia’s men, nonetheless, failed to protect a one-goal lead and had to settle for another stalemate after Domenico Berardi scored in the dying moments of the match.

Considering that Juventus took advantage of their slip-ups to close the gap to just one point, Roma are well aware this is a must-win game for them.

And with Cagliari losing their last three matches on the road, the Giallorossi look a good bet at odds of 1.44 (4/9) offered at William Hill.

Federico Balzaretti and Marco Borriello are injury doubts, whereas Francesco Totti and Vasilis Torosidis are definitely out. De Rossi, Gervinho, Benatia and Destro all return.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): De Sanctis – Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Dodo – Pjanic, De Rossi, Strootman – Gervinho, Ljajic, Florenzi.

Cagliari have had a pretty rough start to the new league campaign, having embarked on a six-match winless run after the opening triumph over Atalanta.

Their next triumph over Catania was followed by three straight defeats, with Isolani losing to Lazio Bologna and Hellas Verona.

However, just as the team were slipping towards the relegation zone, they recorded a very important victory over Torino and currently sit four points above the bottom three.

Isolani haven’t been too impressive on the road this term, losing four matches and sharing spoils with Fiorentina and Livorno, so they clearly face an uphill task against the Serie A leaders.

Key midfielder Radja Nainggolan misses out through suspension, whereas Michael Agazzi and Gabriele Perico are out injured.

New signing Antonio Adan is eligible to play, although Vlada Avramov is expected to start the match at Stadio Olimpico.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Avramov – Pisano, Rossettini, Astori, Murru – Dessena, Conti, Ekdal – Cossu – Ibarbo, Sau.
