Lazio vs NapoliThis could be the last chance for Lazio to return into contention for a top 3 finish, and this is definitely a perfect time to be facing star-studded Napoli side.

The Azzurri are low on confidence after suffering three straight defeats in all competitions, but they, too, will see this match as a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.

While other title contenders and top 3 rivals have been steadily improving of late, Lazio have failed to keep up with the latest developments in Serie A, with the gap behind the league’s strongest sides just getting bigger.

This is why nobody was surprised to see the Biancocelesti struggle at the start of the new campaign, with boss Vladimir Petkovic under a lot of pressure following the dismal run of results.

While securing progress into the Europa League knockout stages with back to back triumphs over Apollon and Legia Warsaw, Lazio have failed to win any of their last four league fixtures.

And with very good Napoli side next, there is little to no value in odds of 3.00 (2/1) offered on home win at Unibet.

The injury situation seems to be improving, with Senad Lulic and Antonio Candreva set to return having missed the midweek clash against Legia.

However, captain Stefano Mauri remains suspended, whereas Miroslav Klose, Giuseppe Biava and Lucas Biglia are all doubtful.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Marchetti – Konko, Ciani, Cana, Radu – Ledesma – Candreva, Onazi, Hernanes, Lulic – Klose.

Up until few weeks ago, Napoli were going strong on all fronts, putting in some impressive performances, but the latest poor run of results is threatening to ruin their entire season.

The Azzurri face a very difficult task in an attempt to reach the Champions League knockout stages after the 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund, while their league campaign has also suffered a huge blow.

After damaging their title bid with a 3-0 defeat to Juventus, Napoli suffered a home loss to Parma, allowing Inter and Fiorentina to further close the gap behind them.

And with difficult matches coming thick and fast, the Azzurri have no choice but to try and defeat out-of-sorts Lazio at Stadio Olimpico.

Having already recorded four away victories in Serie A this term, beating Milan and Fiorentina among other clubs, Napoli are 2.55 (31/20) to further improve their record on the travels.

As things stand now, mercurial midfielder Marek Hamsik is unlikely to recover in time, whereas full-backs Camilo Zuniga and Giandomenico Mesto are long-term casualties.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Reina – Maggio, Albiol, Britos, Reveillere – Behrami, Inler – Callejon, Mertens, Insigne – Higuain.
