Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak plans to continue his career in either Spain or Italy, according to Nantes chairman Waldemar Kita.

With the Polish footballer having failed to impress at Parc des Princes, he is now set to leave for greener pastures and the Canaries are one of the clubs interested in his services.

However, Nantes president Waldemar Kita has revealed he has been unsuccessful in his attempts to sign Krychowiak, mostly due to the fact that he wants to play in Spain or Italy.

“I wanted to sign Krychowiak, speaking to PSG and the player,” Kita told Sport.pl.

“He prefers to play in Spain or Italy. It’s a shame! I consider him a great professional, he has been at PSG for almost a year, but does not play regularly.

“Grzegorz has a certain level in terms of prestige and sport. PSG had told me it was going to be difficult, anyway.”

The 27-year-old had enjoyed two highly successful campaigns with Sevilla and he has reason to believe top clubs from Spain and Italy will step up their interest in his services.
