Manchester City striker John Guidetti has added fuel to speculations linking him with a summer switch to Lazio.

The highly rated striker returned to Etihad Stadium from a very successful loan spell at Feyenoord, but he is heavily linked with a summer exit.

Lazio have been showing interest in the 20-year-old and Guidetti admits he would love to move to Italian Serie A.

“My grandfather was Italian,” the Swede said to Il Corriere dello Sport. “We originated in Ferrara and I’ve been coming to Italy on holiday for years.

“The bond is strong and my family still has an apartment in Rome. I’ve always dreamed of playing in Serie A one day.”

Now that he is expected to complete a loan move to Lazio, Guidetti is relishing the prospect of playing alongside Miroslav Klose.

“He’s a great player in the area. He has scored goals everywhere he’s been,” the youngster added.

“If I could play next to him, I’m sure I would learn a lot. We could be a productive partnership, we would mesh well together.”

Bear in mind that Unibet offers no less than 2.05 (21/20) on Guidetti to join Lazio in the summer transfer window.

reading the origional interview, it is clear that it is the newspaper who is dropping any hints through its line of questioning… the young starlett is merely answering whtever q’s is flung @ him. And he does so well….
