High-flying Inter Milan will be looking to place extra pressure on leaders Napoli when they host very good Chievo side at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Flying Donkeys climbed to the top half of the standings with a hard-fought win over SPAL, and they will attempt to surprise their more illustrious opponents.

Inter Milan chiefs did well to lure Luciano Spalletti from AS Roma, while also recruiting several quality footballers in the summer, but nobody could envision such an impressive start to the season.

The Nerazzurri recorded 11 wins and 3 draws in first 14 league fixtures of the season, climbing to second in the standings behind red-hot Napoli.

Led by the outstanding Mauro Icardi, Inter Milan have performed admirably ever since the league campaign started and they are now 1.44 (4/9) favourites to defeat Chievo.

Having won seven of last eight league matches at home, scoring 20 goals in the process, the Nerazzurri are tipped to record another important triumph.

The hosts will be without Joao Miranda and Roberto Gagliardini through suspension, whereas Matias Vecino is doubtful through a muscle problem.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Handanovic – D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Ranocchia, Santon – Brozovic, Valero – Candreva, Joao Mario, Perisic – Icardi.

Chievo managed to establish themselves as genuine mid table side in Italian Serie A, and they are doing really well this season.

The Flying Donkeys occupy ninth position in the overall standings after 14 games with 20 points, and they are already well clear of the relegation zone.

Chievo recently experienced a poor run of form, taking two points from four league games, although that was the result of a difficult fixture list first and foremost.

Following the promising stalemates against Napoli and Torino, the Flying Donkeys came from a goal behind to defeat SPAL, and now hope to continue the good run against Inter Milan.

Serbian midfielder Ivan Radovanovic misses out through suspension, whereas Lucas Castro is out through a ligament injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Sorrentino – Cacciatore, Gamberini, Tomovic, Gobbi – Bastien, Rigoni, Hetemaj – Birsa – Meggiorini, Inglese.
