Fiorentina vs ParmaHaving crashed out of the Europa League semi-finals, Fiorentina aim to climb back to Serie A top 5 by defeating bottom-placed Parma at Artemio Franchi.

I Ducali impressed to hold Napoli to a 2-2 draw at their Ennio Tardini and they will want to notch up few more good results before getting relegated to Serie B.

Fiorentina did not exactly manage to realise their pre-season ambitions, but at least they look set to secure another European qualification.

Their Europa League campaign came to an abrupt end as Viola suffered a 5-0 aggregate defeat to holders Sevilla in the semi-finals, and now it’s time to shift the focus towards the league campaign.

Fiorentina have long ago lost all hope of achieving a top 3 finish, but they have a perfect opportunity to return to fifth place in the standings.

And with Parma taking mere three points from last 15 away fixtures, it is hardly surprising that home win pays 1.25 (1/4) at Paddy Power.

Vincenzo Montella should have Nenad Tomovic and Manuel Pasqual back to the side, but Juan Vargas, Micah Richards and Federico Bernardeschi are out injured.

Neto and Tatarusanu are vying for a place between the sticks, whereas Giuseppe Rossi and Khouma Babacar have been ruled out for the season.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Neto- Savic, Rodriguez, Basanta, Pasqual – Aquilani, Badelj, Valero – Diamanti, Gomez, Salah.

Parma may have already been relegated to Serie B, but the players are hardly to blame for some under-par results and they are determined to give the club the respect it deserves.

I Ducali have overcome a plethora of problems this season to ensure they finish the season in style, and several impressive results are a just reward for all the troubles.

While defeating Juventus and Palermo, Parma did well to hold Empoli and Napoli to 2-2 draws, with team’s performance against the Azzurri proving they do not deserve to go down.

Buoyed by such a good display, I Ducali will attempt to shock Fiorentina as well and they can be backed at 4.40 (17/5) to avoid defeat at Artemio Franchi.

Full-back Andi Lila misses out through suspension, while Fabiano Santacroce, Pavol Bajza and Andrea Costa are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Mirante – Cassani, Mendes, Feddal, Gobbi – Nocerino, Jorquera, Mauri – Varela, Palladino, Ghezzal.
