Defensive headache for Antonio Conte

Juventus defenceJuventus boss Antonio Conte could be without up to four defenders in the weekend’s Serie A match against Livorno, according to the latest reports.

The Bianconeri did really well to take advantage of Roma’s unexpected slip-up against Sassuolo, with 3-0 triumph over title rivals Napoli seeing them close the gap behind the Giallorossi to just one point.

And even if Juventus are now searching for their fifth successive league win on the bounce, they face a serious selection headache ahead of the away game against Livorno.

Important defender Leonardo Bonucci and Angelo Ogbonna are both banned, whereas Andrea Barzagli is doubtful through a thigh injury.

And Juventus have also announced that the game comes too soon for full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, who has failed to recover from a thigh problem.

The 29-year-old has been out for over a month and while he has resumed light training, he has yet to work with the rest of his teammates.

In spite of all their problems, Juventus are 1.40 (2/5) favourites to continue their winning run, while they are 1.67 (2/3) for the league title.
