The opening match of round 15 in Italian Serie A will see Catania, one of the best home sides in the top flight, play host to terribly inconsistent Milan.

Catania will have a lot to prove in this match after losing Derby di Sicilia to Palermo, but, considering team’s impressive start to the season, Rolando Maran’s side are likely to go into this game in good spirits.

Despite staying without master tactician Vincenzo Montella, the Elephants have continued where they left off last season, climbing to the eighth place in the overall standings.

While their away performances still leave a lot to be desired, Catania remain a force to be reckoned with at home, as their 5-1-1 record at Stadio Angelo Massimino would suggest.

Taking this into account, we could see a value in backing the Elephants in this match, with BetVictor paying 3.40 (12/5) on home win.

Nicolas Spolli and Alejandro Gomez miss out through suspension, while Mariano Izco and Marco Biagianti remain sidelined. Gonzalo Bergessio returns to the side.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Andujar – Alvarez, Legrottaglie, Rolin, Marchese – Ricchiuti, Lodi, Almiron – Barrientos, Bergessio, Castro.

Having encountered all sorts of problems during the opening exchanges, AC Milan are now desperately trying to save their season.

Champions League triumph over Anderlecht saw the Rossoneri qualify for the knockout stages, but the problem is the team are still far away from the European places in Serie A.

Even with a big help from the ref, Milan did well to beat league leaders Juventus at the weekend, and everybody at the club is hoping that would prove to be the turning point of the season.

The Rossoneri now face a very tough task at Massimino, but you should know away win pays 2.38 (11/8) at Ladbrokes.

Max Allegri welcomes back Philippe Mexes, Christian Abbiati and Massimo Ambrosini, but veteran defender Mario Yepes is suspended.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Abbiati – De Sciglio, Mexes, Zapata, Constant – Montolivo, De Jong, Nocerino – Boateng, Robinho, El Shaarawy.
