Things are looking extremely bleak for Cagliari after their latest four-match losing run, especially with Serie A leaders Juventus their next opponents.

Pre-season predictions did not place the Isolani in the relegation fight, as everyone believed they would be much closer to mid table positions.

Cagliari experienced a lot of problems in the early exchanges, picking up just 2 points from first 6 Serie A fixtures, but the four-match winning run that ensued appeared to have helped the team kick-start their season.

The impressive run was short-lived, however, as Isolani went on to take just two points from next seven league games, with the latest four-match losing run a major cause for concern.

This basically means the hosts will have no choice but to try and beat in-form Juventus, but having failed to score in last three home games, Cagliari are 2.10 (11/10) with Coral to continue the dismal run.

Captain Daniele Conti misses out through suspension, while Sebastian Erikssen is sidelined with a muscle strain.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Agazzi – Pisano, AStori, Rossettini, Avelar – Dessena, Nainggolan, Ekdal – Cossu – Sau, Nene.

Even before the season started, Juventus were seen as the only serious contenders for the Serie A titles and the predictions are proving to be spot on.

Despite losing to both Inter and Milan, the Bianconeri have created a seven-point cushion at the league summit and go into the Cagliari game high on confidence.

Having won their last five games in all competitions, the Old Lady are 1.50 (1/2) with BetFred to see off Cagliari as well.

Given that Antonio Conte’s side did not concede a single goal in the process, bear in mind Juventus to win to nil pays 2.50 (3/2) at Coral.

Mirko Vucinic and Paul Pogba are both fitness doubts, while Nicklas Bendtner, Simone Pepe and Giorgio Chiellini are definitely out.

If the Montenegrin forward fails to recover in time, Fabio Quagliarella will step in to partner Sebastian Giovinco.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres – Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah – Vucinic, Giovinco.
