Roma vs MIlan 2-2After slipping to the bottom half of the league standings, AC Milan will be desperate to put an end to a three-match losing run when they host AS Roma and San Siro.

The Giallorossi revived their Champions League hopes with back to back wins over Sassuolo and Genoa, and now aim to pile more misery on the Rossoneri.

AC Milan chiefs have nobody else to blame but themselves for what has proved to be a very disappointing season, having taken a gamble with Pippo Inzaghi shortly after the Clarence Seedorf experiment proved a major failure.

The inexperienced coach proved incapable of managing at this level and that is the main reason why the Rossoneri find themselves in the bottom part of the Serie A table.

AC Milan did experience problems with injuries and suspension, but given the big pool of quality players at Inzaghi’s disposal, that cannot be considered an excuse.

The Rossoneri have been utterly disappointing of late, sharing spoils with Sampdoria and Inter before suffering three straight defeats, with their European bid now effectively over.

AC Milan can be backed at 4.10 (31/10) to end the dismal run against AS Roma, but that is clearly easier said than done at the moment.

Chances are the suspended Jeremy Menez and Mattia De Sciglio will be sorely missed, while Agazzi, Rami, Suso, El Shaarawy and Montolivo miss out as well.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lopez – Abate, Mexes, Paletta, Antonelli – Van Ginkel, de Jong, Poli – Honda, Destro, Bonaventura.

AS Roma experienced all sorts of problems since the turn of the year and even their Champions League qualification was in danger a while back.

Three successive slip-ups threatened to see the Giallorossi drop out of top 3 positions, but they somehow managed to return to the right track.

Roma climbed back to second with back to back triumphs over Sassuolo and Genoa, and they are now five points clear of fourth-placed Napoli with four games to go.

Even so, the Giallorossi will see the Milan game as a perfect opportunity to edge closer to their objective, and they look a good bet at 2.05 (21/20).

Coach Rudi Garcia is sweating over the fitness of Seydou Doumbia, Seydou Keita, Adem Ljajic and Ashley Cole, but all four could be in contention.

The same cannot be said of Leandro Castan, Kevin Strootman, Douglas Maicon and Nicolas Spolli, who miss out through injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): De Sanctis – Florenzi, Astori, Manolas, Torosidis – Pjanic, De Rossi, Nainggolan – Gervinho, Doumbia, Ibarbo.
