Inter Milan have reportedly scheduled a meeting over the transfer of AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta has a meeting organised for Monday with the CEO of Roma Guido Fienga relating to the signature of the Bosnian forward.

It is believed that the former Manchester City man would be open to a switch to the San Siro to join Antonio Conte’s troops. He has enjoyed a highly productive spell since moving to Rome in July 2016. He has made 179 appearances in all competitions for the club and scored 87 goals with a further 38 assists.

Alongside Dzeko, it is also reported that Inter remain interested in making moves for Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku and Cagliari midfielder Nicolò Barella.

The Nerazzurri, who last won the Serie A title way back in the 2009/10 season, have already made some considerable moves in the transfer market during the current campaign. Of the notable arrivals at the San Siro, Valentino Lazaro and Matteo Politano have been signed from Hertha Berlin and Sassuolo respectively. Veteran defender Diego Godin has also been one of the marquee arrivals on a free transfer from Atletico Madrid.

Their busy summer has seen the odds for the Serie A title shift, with Inter now second favourites to be named champions with the bookies. They can be backed at odds of 5/1 with Betfred to win the league this season.
