Inter Milan eyeing Teixeira January swoop

Former Liverpool target and Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira could be on his way out of Jiangsu Suning only a year after his arrival to Chinese Super League side.

The 27-year-old winger was the subject of a €32 million bid from Liverpool in January 2016 and the player himself voiced out a strong desire to join the Merseyside club but Shakhtar Donetsk refused the approach and ended up selling the Brazilian star to Jiangsu Suning days later for €50 million.

Teixeira scored a goal on his competitive debut for the new club and was making a strong impact from the off but his influence at the Chinese Super League side has been significantly limited recently.

With the League adopting a new rule which reduced the number of foreign players in a game to just three, Alex Teixeira got pushed out of the starting line-up by Lorient signing Benjamin Moukandjo, who’s been in fine form recently.

The Brazilian moved down the pecking order and is said to be looking for a swift solution which could come as a January return to Europe.

The Italian media outlet Tuttosport have learned that Inter Milan are keen to take the Brazilian on loan until the end of the season as Luciano Spalletti is looking to add more firepower to his front line and a player who would offer valuable support behind the strikers.

Potential January loan deal should not be a problematic one given the fact that Suning Group owns both the Chinese and the Italian club.

The Italian giants took Trent Sainsbury on loan last January to help Jiangsu Suning free up a place in their squad whereas the same can be done this time around as the Suning Group looks to protect its €50 million investment.
