Belgium vs USAFollowing the 3-1 triumph over Puerto Rico, USMNT continue their preparations for the 2016 Copa America Centenario by playing host to Ecuador.

Meanwhile, this will be La Tri’s only warm-up game ahead of the showpiece tournament, so they are expected to give their best at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

The USMNT have largely struggled in recent years, having surprisingly finished fourth at the 2015 Gold Cup, while also missing out on a place at the next Confederations Cup.

Taking also into account that team’s 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign has not been going according to the plan, Jurgen Klinsmann desperately need his side to show improvement at the 2016 Copa America Centenario.

There have been some surprises in the final squad for the major competition, as Omar Gonzalez, Tim Ream, Mix Diskerud, Julian Green and Jordan Morris all miss out, whereas Jozy Altidore is out injured.

The MLS players have joined the squad after missing the win over Puerto Rico, while FC Dallas defender Kellyn Acosta has been added to the side for the Ecuador game.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Howard – Yedlin, Brooks, Besler, Chandler – Zusi, Bradley, Jones, Zardes – Dempsey, Wood.

Ecuador have had mixed success of late, and they haven’t been too impressive at major competitions in recent years.

El Tri crashed out in the group stage of 2014 World Cup and 2015 Copa America, so they will be hoping to reach the closing stages of the Copa America Centenario.

Ecuador will have something to build on having enjoyed a brilliant start to the new World Cup qualifying campaign, climbing to second as they won 12 points from first 6 fixtures.

The tournament in the United States comes at a good time seeing that key men Antonio Valencia and Enner Valencia have proved their fitness after recovering from injury.

However, Felipe Caicedo, Pedro Quinonez and Oscar Bagui all failed to make the final squad due to their respective injuries.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Dominguez – Paredes, Achiller, Erazo, W. Ayovi – A. Valencia, Gruezo, Noboa, Montero – E. Valencia, Bolanos.
