Udinese vs Lazio preview

Udinese have been thoroughly impressive this season, but it seems the pressure of expectations has started to get to them, as witnessed by their dismal run of results in April.

Following the ten-match unbeaten run, the Friulani managed to lose four out of last five games and they are lucky to still be in contention for the Champions League places.

The good thing for Francesco Guidolin’s side is that they can climb back to fourth place by beating Lazio, with Zebrette priced 2.25 (5/4) with Bet365 to win this match.

The hosts have received a major boost with Alexis Sanchez recovering from injury, but Gokhan Inler serves the final game of his three-match ban.

Maurizio Domizzi is also suspended, while Dusan Basta, Andrea Coda and Emanuele Belardi remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Handanovic – Benatia, Zapata, Angella – Isla, Pinzi, Abdi, Asamoah, Armero – Sanchez, Di Natale.

With just three more games to go Lazio sit in 4th place, one point clear of Udinese and Roma, meaning that a victory in this match is likely to secure them Champions League qualification, provided Roma don’t beat Milan on Saturday.

Lazio have been going strong throughout the season, but back to back defeats to Inter and Juventus could end up costing them dearly, even if the Biancocelesti probably didn’t deserve to lose either of the games.

Edy Reja’s side still holds the destiny in their own hands, so odds of 2.75 (7/4) offered by Betfair on Lazio to finish in top 4 may be worth a shot.

Mauri and Ledesma continue to miss out through suspension, while Radu, Diakite and Foggia are out with injuries.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Muslera – Lichsteiner, Biava, Dias, Garrido – Brocchi, Matuzalem – Gonzalez, Hernanes, Floccari – Zarate.
