High-flying Toulouse will be looking to put a dent in Lille’s title hopes when the two sides face at Stadium Municipal.

Toulouse have long ago established themselves as genuine mid table side, but their fans are eagerly awaiting for the club to make the next step and enter the race for European places.

It looks as though the long wait is finally over as Alain Casanova’s side sit just two points behind the top 3 place after the impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign.

Le Tefece have experienced some problems of late, especially on the travels, but four wins in six home games give them something to hope for before the Lille clash.

Toulouse are well known as a side that boast rock-solid defence and seeing that they have kept three straight clean sheets at home despite playing sides like Nancy, Marseille and Rennes, the odds of 3.00 (2/1) offered by Paddy Power on TFC to keep a clean sheet do look tempting.

The hosts will be without important midfielders Etienne Capoue and Antoine Devaux through injury and suspension respectively.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Ahamada – Ninkov, Congre, Abdennour, Akpa Akpro – Sissoko, Didot, Machado – Braaten, Bulut, Tabanou.

Ligue 1 champions Lille haven’t had such an impressive start to the season, suffering several unexpected slip-ups, but somewhat disappointing results could have been attributed to their European exploits.

Les Dogues played really well in Europe, but often failed to turn their dominance into goals, so they are now on the brink of Champions League elimination.

Rudi Garcia’s side have, however, raised their form on domestic stage, with straight wins over Rennes, Auxerre and Lyon seeing them return to the title race, even if back to back draws against Valenciennes and Evian were seen as major blows.

Despite the recent slip-ups, les Dogues sit just six points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, while they are 2.50 (3/2) with Victor Chandler to win in Toulouse and put extra pressure on their title rivals.

Marko Basa and Benoit Pedretti are struggling with injuries and they are unlikely to be risked, but the good news is Aurelien Chedjou and Florent Balmont are back to contention.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Landreau – Bonnart, Debuchy, Chedjou, Beria – Cole, Mavuba, Balmont – Hazard, Sow, Payet.
