Swansea City held on to a goalless draw in the first leg of the Championship play-offs semi-final despite having a man sent off in the very first minute of the game, meaning the Welsh side are now hot favourites to go through.

Brendan Rodgers’ team have impressed the whole of England with their attractive attacking football, with the Swans especially convincing at their Liberty Stadium.

Having scored at least three goals in six out of their last eight home games, the Swans are 2.15 (23/20) with Sportingbet to score at least two goals against Forest.

The hosts have received a major boost as striker Fabio Borini is set to start after recovering from a hamstring injury, while the Swans have launched an appeal over Neil Taylor’s red card and are hoping he, too, will be cleared to play.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): De Vries – Rangel, Williams, Tate, Monk – Britton, Dobbie, Allen – Dyer, Borini, Sinclair.

Nottingham Forest couldn’t have hoped for a better start to the first leg as their opponents had a man sent off at the very start of the game, but the Forests missed a great chance to create an advantage and could only muster a goalless draw.

Billy Davies’ side now clearly face a tough task at the Liberty Stadium, where Swansea have been thoroughly impressive this season, so odds of 2.00 (1/1) offered on home win by Bodog do look tempting.

The boss should have Guy Moussi and Robbie Findley back to the side, meaning that he will have fully fit squad to choose from.

Nottingham Forest did end the seven-match winless run on the travels with successive away victories over Crystal Palace and Bristol City, but Forests still look like underdogs in this clash.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Camp – Moloney, Morgan, Chambers, Gunter – Anderson, McKenna, Cohen – McGugan – Earnshaw, Boyd.
