Wesley SneijderThe agent of Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder has slammed the Turkish club for mistreating his client.

Galatasaray slapped their star player with a €2 million fine for collecting 11 yellow cards last season, but the Dutch footballer is ready to challenge the decision.

Sneijder’s agent Guido Albers believes this is yet another attempt by the Turkish club to force his client out of Turk Telekom Arena.

“Galatasaray are trying to bully Wesley out of the club,” Albers told De Telegraaf.

“Of course, Wesley will not accept his punishment. It is a real shame that such a big club are stooping so low. Our lawyer has gotten in touch with FIFPro and the Turkish union.

“They are only doing this in an attempt to get a €7.5 million transfer fee for him.”

Sneijder signed a new deal until 2018 back in October, but while the player is happy to remain at the club, it looks as though Galatasaray are desperate to cash in on his services.

In spite of the recent antics, the midfielder wants to remain until his contract comes to an end, but it remain to be seen how the club will behave in the future.

“Sneijder will not let the club bully him out. If Wesley leaves, it’s because he wants to move. But he is happy to stay put until the end of his contract.”
