The Capital One Cup semi-finals conclude at Brammal Lane on Wednesday evening where Sheffield United face Tottenham Hotspur.

Last week’s match between the two sides was separated only by Andros Townsend’s seventy-fourth minute penalty, giving the North London side the advantage as they look to reach the final of this competition for the eighth time in their history.

The Blades, who go in to the game on the back of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with fellow League One side Preston North End in the fourth round of the FA Cup, are set to recall a number of first team regulars to the starting line-up.

Ryan Flynn is doubtful with an Achilles problem, though Kieron Freeman is available to make his debut after completing his move to the club last week.

Top scorer Mark McNulty is 9.5 (17/2) to get the first goal of the game with Stan James, with Jamal Campbell-Ryce a 18.0 (17/1) chance with 888 Sport.

The home win inside ninety minutes is as highly priced as the 4.75 (15/4) on offer from Bet 365, with the visitors favourites at 1.91 (10/11) with Bet Victor. The draw can be backed at 3.75 (11/4) with Betfred.

Spurs lost their FA Cup fourth round tie at the weekend, with Leicester City running out 2-1 winners in North London on Saturday afternoon.

Like his opposite number, Mauricio Pochettino is likely to bring back some key players, with Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane two of the names who were rested at the weekend though Michel Vorm could keep his place in goal.

Nacer Chadil faces a late fitness test after missing the last two games on compassionate leave, while Nabil Bentaleb in away on international duty with Algeria.

Kane is favourite to open the scoring at 5.5 (9/2) with Ladbrokes ahead of Eriksen, who is a 8.5 (15/2) chance with Bet 365.

Nigel Clough’s men have lost just two home games since the opening day of the season and both of those games ended in one-nil defeats, so you may be tempted to back Tottenham to score under 1.5 goals at 1.85 (11/13) with Ladbrokes.
