Scotland vs GeorgiaCeltic midfielder Stuart Armstrong and Ipswich defender Christophe Berra have withdrawn from Scotland squad, Scottish FA has announced.

The duo was named in Gordon Strachan’s 26-man squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers against Georgia and Germany, but it has now been revealed they will play no part in said games.

The uncapped Armstrong suffered a back injury playing for Celtic and was forced to pull out of international duty.

“I think he will be out for the games because he has an injury in his back,” said Celtic boss Ronny Deila.

Meanwhile, Christophe Berra picked up a hamstring injury that will see him miss around four weeks of action.

Scotland sit in third place in Group D, two and three points behind Germany and Poland, and they can be backed at 2.10 (11/10) to defeat Georgia on Friday.
