Lille vs MonacoLigue 1 leaders Monaco will be looking to make it seven wins in a row when they welcome in-form Rennes at their Stade Louis Ii.

Les Bretons recovered well from the opening loss to Nice, and they head to the Principality in very good spirits after taking seven points from last three fixtures.

There were not too many people who thought PSG would be removed from the throne any time soon, but Monaco might just be able to challenge the Saints for the league trophy.

The Principality club already sit three points clear of their rivals after defeating them 3-1 three weeks back, but that was by no means their only impressive result this term.

Monaco have been on top of their game over the last month or so, recording Champions League wins over Villarreal (two times) and Tottenham Hotspur, while beating Nantes, PSG and Lille on domestic stage.

As a result, it is hardly surprising they have been made 1.80 (4/5) favourites to see of Rennes and make it seven victories on the bounce.

After suffering a thigh injury against Tottenham, Nabil Dirar is unavailable for selection, with Thomas Lemar expected to replace him in the side.

Danijel Subasic has returned into action after recovering from injury, while Radamel Falcao should keep his place in the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Subasic – Raggi, Glik, Jemerson, Sidibe – Fabinho, Bakayoko – Lemar, Moutinho, Traore – Falcao.

Boasting probably the most successful youth academy in France and one of the best in Europe, Rennes haven’t always managed to prove their worth on the pitch.

Les Bretons began the current campaign with a narrow defeat to Nice, but they have since shown a great deal of improvement.

Rennes went on to record home wins over Nancy and Caen, while sharing spoils with Montpellier on the road, thus climbing to sixth in the standings.

Their impressive form will be put to the ultimate test against leaders Monaco, with les Bretons winless in last five away fixtures in the league (D1 L4).

Clement Chantome remains long-term casualty as he is set to undergo a surgery, while Kamil Grosicki is unlikely to be risked having just returned from injury.

Yoann Gourcuff and Paul-Georges Ntep should be fit to play, but they will probably have to settle for a place on the bench.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Costil – Danze, Mexer, Mendes, Bensebaini – Henrique, Fernandes, Andre, Baal – Said, Sio.
