Just a week after Monaco eliminated Nice from Coupe de la Ligue, the two sides will meet again, this time as part of the Ligue 1 campaign.

The Principality club are in a better position at the moment as they look to cement the second place in the standings, but les Aiglons have been in fine form as well.

Monaco did well to stabilise their form after a shaky start to the new campaign as the squad rebuilding process appear to be finally over.

The Principality club have done really well since their Champions League campaign ended, winning six straight matches in all competitions.

The excellent run of results finally came to an end at the weekend as Monaco shared spoils with Montpellier, and they will now be looking to return to winning ways.

Youri Tielemans, Guido Carrillo and Boschilia could all feature after they were not risked at the weekend, while Radamel Falcao should be back to the side.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Benaglio – Sidibe, Glik, Jemerson, Jorge – Tielemans, Fabinho – Keita, Lemar, Diakhaby – Falcao.

OGC Nice are not exactly playing like last season when they were even involved in the title chase, but they are slowly returning to the right track.

While they were knocked out of both domestic Cup competitions of late, les Aiglons recorded five wins and one draw in last six league fixtures.

Such a good run saw Nice climb to 6th in the overall standings, thus seriously improving their hopes of clinching European qualification.

Nice will now attempt to extend the good run of results at Stade Louis II, but that may be easier said than done given Monaco’s impressive home form.

There have been no fresh selection worries for Lucien Favre, but Nampalys Mendy, Mickael Le Bihan, Arnaud Lusamba and Arnaud Souquet remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Benitez – Burner, Marlon, Sarr, Le Marchand – Lees Melou, Tameze, Seri – Plea, Balotelli, Saint-Maximin.
