PSG vs MarseilleHigh-flying Metz will be looking to put a dent into Paris Saint-Germain’s title hopes by extending their unbeaten run at home to seven games.

Meanwhile, the Saints would climb to the top of the standings at least for 24 hours by winning at Stade Saint-Symphorien and that should be enough incentive for Laurent Blanc’s charges to give their best on Friday night.

One of France’s most famous clubs returned to the elite division this summer after a six-year absence and they have never looked back.

Les Grenats have already climbed to the top half of the standings and are six points clear of the bottom three at the moment, which has got to be considered a great start.

And while Metz could only bring four points from seven away games, scoring just one goal in the process, Albert Cartier’s men have been absolutely impressive at their Stade Saint-Symphorien.

Les Grenats recorded four wins and two draws in six home matches this term, beating title contenders Lyon in the process and are now 2.80 (9/5) to extend the unbeaten run.

Metz go into the PSG clash on the back of a 3-0 loss at Toulouse, but they still have plenty of reason for optimism at the moment.

Coach Albert Cartier will have Gaetan Bussmann and Gnaly Cornet back to the side, but Romain Rocchi, Federico Andrada and Kwane N’Sor are out injured. Key attacker Juan Falcon faces a fitness test.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Carrasso – Metanire, Milan, Choplin, Bussmann – Lejeune, N’Daw, Kashi, Malouda – Falcon, Maiga.

Paris Saint-Germain did not have the best of starts to a new season, but the good news is the Saints have since returned to the right track.

Laurent Blanc’s charges impressed to secure their progress into the Champions League knockout stages with two games to go and they currently sit one point clear of second-placed Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the Saints did well to close the gap behind leaders Marseille to just one point, which makes them the favourites for the league title again.

PSG proved they remain the team to beat in France by defeating OM 2-0 two weeks ago and no wonder they are 1.50 (1/2) favourites to see off Metz as well.

Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has resumed full training after scoring for Sweden on international duty and he can be backed at 2.05 (21/20) to score anytime.

Meanwhile, Blaise Matuidi, Lucas Moura and Marco Verratti are all rated doubtful for the Metz game having failed to train with their teammates this week.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Sirigu – Aurier, Silva, Luiz, Maxwell – Cabaye, Motta, Matuidi – Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, Cavani.
