Lille vs MarseilleHaving ended a three-match winning run with a 1-0 setback at Lille, Marseille will be hoping to revive their Champions League bid when they host high-flying Nantes.

The Canaries returned to winning ways in midweek and they will be keen to prove they deserve such a high position in the standings.

Marseille have experienced all sorts of problems this season, even losing five straight matches in all competitions at one point.

The team have since managed to show some improvement on domestic stage, recording three triumphs in a row, but their good run was short-lived.

When it mattered the most, OM couldn’t prove their worth in the away game against Lille, and ended up losing the game 1-0 having conceded in the dying moments.

And with some key men missing the clash against in-form Nantes, odds of 2.00 (1/1) offered at William Hill on home win do not look too tempting.

Important midfielder Mathieu Valbuena has joined Andre Ayew in the infirmary, whereas key winger Dimitri Payet is a major doubt.

Meanwhile, Rod Fanni is likely to return, whereas Saber Khalifa and Jordan Ayew are pushing for starting positions.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Mandanda – Fanni, Nkoulou, Diawara, Morel – Romao, Cheyrou – J. Ayew, Thauvin, Khalifa – Gignac.

Nantes have been without a doubt the surprise package of the season, with the Canaries largely impressing on their return to the elite division.

Led by free-scoring captain Filip Djordjevic, the team climbed to fifth position in the standings and they don’t seem to be slowing down.

Back to back defeats to Monaco and Guingamp looked to have created problems for boss Michel Der Zakarian, but his side responded well to record a 2-1 triumph over Valenciennes.

Nantes showed a lot of character to come from a goal behind and score two second-half goals, with Djordjevic even missing a penalty midway through the second period.

However, with the players high on confidence at the moment, you should be aware the Canaries are 1.91 (10/11) not to lose at Stade Velodrome.

Michel Der Zakarian has no fresh injury worries, with Gabriel Cichero remaining the only unavailable player.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Riou – Cissokho, Vizcarrondo, Djilobodji, Alhadur – Deaux, Veretout – Nicolita, Bedoya, Gakpe – Djordjevic.
