Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus will not be missing any action despite suffering an injury in DFB Pokal match against Dynamo Dresden.
The Germany hotshot was carried off the pitch after twenty minutes and at first it looked as though he could be in for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Even Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp thought Reus had broken his leg, and he was very relieved to find out that his star player escaped only with a bruised knee.
“If it is really just a bruise with Marco, this has been a good night,” Klop said to Sky.
“I looked so angry because everybody looked at me like he had a broken leg. I am a simple person and if everybody looks at me like his leg is broken, I believe that.
“I hope next time they will inform me sooner when it is just a bruise.”
Marco Reus has been integral to Borussia Dortmund’s turnaround in fortunes, scoring in five straight games to help the Millionaires revive their Bundesliga campaign.
Following the impressive victory over Schalke, BVB sit eight points behind Champions League positions and they are 7.00 (6/1) shot for a top 4 finish.
