Wednesday evening’s match at the Etihad Stadium sees Manchester City face Everton in the second of this weeks League Cup semi-final second legs.

Everton won the first leg at Goodison Park by two goals to one three weeks ago, so hold a slight advantage as the two sides play for the right to face Liverpool in next month’s final at Wembley.

The hosts defeat to the Toffees on January 6th was their only defeat in their last eight games, while they have since drew 0-0 with the Merseyside outfit in the league.

They go in to the game on the back of Saturday afternoon’s 2-2 draw with West Ham United – a result which moved them up to second place, three points behind Leicester City.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that Willy Caballero will replace Joe Hart in goal for the game while Eliaqium Mangala, Vincent Kompany, Aleksandar Kolarov and Wilfried Bony all miss out.

Sergio Aguero is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 4.0 (3/1) with Paddy Power, with Raheem Sterling an 8.0 (7/1) chance with 888 Sport.

The home win is widely available at 1.57 (4.7), with the visitors as highly priced as the 6.5 (11/2) offered by Paddy Power. The draw is a 4.6 (18/5) chance with Betfair.

Roberto Martinez’s side lost for the first time in five matches on Sunday afternoon, with Swansea City edging past them in a result which leaves them in twelfth place.

Muhamed Besic misses the game with a hamstring injury while Kevin Mirallas is also sidelined with a tendon problem he picked up at the weekend.

Romelu Lukaku is 8.0 (7/1) to open the scoring with a variety of bookmakers, with Ross Barkley a 15.0 (14/1) shot with 888 Sport.

City’s clean sheet in the 0-0 draw in Manchester two weeks ago was their fourth in five home meetings with Everton, so you may be tempted to bet on them keeping the away side at bay this time around at a price of 2.75 (7/4) with Coral.
