Carlos-Tevez-City

Saturday’s late afternoon kick-off at the Etihad Stadium sees Manchester City host Barnsley in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

The 2011 winners made it to the last eight by thumping Leeds United 4-0 in last round, a result that started a run of three consecutive wins.

Roberto Mancini is unlikely to risk captain Vincent Kompany and striker Sergio Aguero for the game with both players struggling for fitness recently.

Kompany has missed the last six games with a calf injury, while Aguero missed Monday’s win over Aston Villa with a knee problem.

Carlos Tevez is favourite to open the scoring at 4.0 (3/1) with a variety of firms, while Edin Dzeko is widely available at a price of 4.5 (7/2).

Unsurprisingly, the home win is odds on, with 1.14 (1/7) the price offered by most firms, while Barnsley are 23.0 (22/1) with Betfred to cause a shock. Bet 365 offer 9.5 (17/2) for the tie to go to a replay.

The visitors dispatched of Milton Keynes Dons in the last round, and are looking to make the semi-finals for the second time in six seasons having made the last four in 2008, beating both Liverpool and Chelsea on the way to Wembley.

The Tykes are currently 22nd in the Championship, but with just two defeats in their last nine league games, have a fighting chance of survival.

David Flitcroft has no new injury concerns, with midfielder Stephen Dawson in line to feature having missed the last nine games with an ankle injury.

Top scorer Chris Dagnall is 21.0 (20/1) with Bet 365 to get the first goal of the game, with Marlon Harewood available at the same price with a variety of firms.

The two sides last met in the second round of the League Cup, with Manchester City running out 7-1 winners at home and Sky Bet offer a price of 5.0 (4/1) for the hosts for hit five or more goals this time around.

Alternatively, with City winning eight of their last nine FA Cup ties without conceding, you may fancy backing them to do so once more at 1.83 (5/6) with Paddy Power.

Roberto Mancini’s men are favourites to lift the trophy on May 11th, with Coral offering the best price of 2.88 (15/8), while Barnsley are rank outsiders at 201.0 (200/1) with a number of bookmakers.
