After some impressive performances in the first part of the season, Mainz have only picked up four points after the winter break and the game against mighty Bayern comes at a very bad time for them.

Thomas Tuchel’s side slipped to fifth after losing to Koln last weekend and they have to try and win this game if they want to remain in contention for the European places.

Eugen Polanski should return to the starting line-up after recovering from injury, but Adam Szalai remains out with injury.

Bayern Munchen have started to climb the Bundesliga standings after winning three of the last four games and they plan to continue the good run of results.

Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery returned to the side in magnificent style as they led Bayern to 4:0 victory over Hoffenheim and they are both set to start this game.

Toni Kroos and Diego Contento have also resumed full training, meaning that Ivica Olic is the only player in the infirmary.

Considering team’s current form it is little wonder Bayern are 1.66 (2/3) to win the game at 188BET, with Mainz 2.20 (6/5) not to lose at Sportingbet.
