Sitting level on 35 points with Monaco, Lyon and Marseille are expected to contest a highly entertaining affair at Parc OL.

It was by no means easy for head coach Bruno Genesio to rebuild the squad in the summer and ensure his side is competitive in all the competitions entered, but he has so far done a great job.

Les Gones secured their place in the Europa League knockout stages, where they will face Villarreal, while they climbed to second in the Ligue 1 standings.

Granted, Lyon were eliminated from Coupe de la Ligue in midweek, but that is likely to prove a blessing in disguise given the number of important games on other fronts.

After a period of excellent results that lasted from 1st October to 26th November, les Gones have suffered a dip in form that saw them lose three of last five games.

The good news is that only one of those defeats was recorded in Ligue 1, although the team are now involved in a three-horse race for the final two Champions League berths.

Fourth-placed Marseille could prove to be one of their serious competitors, and Lyon are now 2.05 (21/20) to defeat the top 3 rivals on Sunday evening.

Bertrand Traore continues to miss out, while a number of first team regulars will be recalled after they were rested in midweek.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Lopes – Rafael, Marcelo, Diakhaby, Mendy – N’Dombele, Tousart – Aouar, Fekir, Depay – Diaz.

Similar to PSG and Monaco, Marseille began to invest serious cash into the playing squad and their new project does appear to have potential.

The quality of the squad has been seriously improved of late and with Rudi Garcia in charge, l’OM look set to mount a serious top 3 challenge.

Marseille, too, have been balancing between a number of competitions, and they are also out of Coupe de la Ligue, while facing Sporting Braga in Europa League last 32 stage.

L’OM have been thoroughly impressive in the league over the last couple of months, recording 8 wins and 4 draws, thus closing the gap behind top 3 rivals Lyon and Monaco.

The good news is that head coach Rudi Garcia has no major selection worries, with only Gregory Sertic and Boubacar Kamara out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Mandanda – Sarr, Rami, Abdennour, Amavi – Lopez, Gustavo – Thauvin, Sanson, Payet – Germain.
