Lille breaking away from title rivals

The Ligue 1 winter champions Lille continued where they left off in 2010 as they beat Nice away from home to retain their one-point lead at the top.

Should LOSC win their rearranged match with Nancy on Wednesday they will extend the lead to four points and edge closer to the Ligue 1 title.

Rudi Garcia’s men didn’t have an easy job at Stade Municipal as they were pitted against one of the best defences in the league, but les Dogues justified the tag of the best attacking side in the league by bagging goals either side of half-time to run out easy winners.

Gervinho and Moussa Sow profited from Eden Hazard’s trickery in the opponent’s half to set Lille on course to what could be an unbelievable success.

Having come close to the title last term, Lille’s latest results are by no means a surprise and with French giants like Lyon, Marseille and Bordeaux struggling, les Dogues seem like very serious title contenders.

With Betfair giving 4.80 (19/5) on Lille to win Ligue 1, you shouldn’t pass on such an excellent offer.
