Jonny Williams WalesCrystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is all but set to miss the Euro 2016 qualifier against Belgium having suffered a thigh injury at the weekend.

The 21-year-old, who is currently on loan at Ipswich Town, was on the receiving end of a harsh foul by Joel Ekstrand in the 1-0 victory over Watford at the weekend.

“The tackle on Jonny was an awful challenge and it could have been a red,” said Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy.

Williams will be checked out by the Wales medical team when he joins Chris Coleman’s squad on Monday, but everything suggests he will not be ready for the away clash against Belgium, where the Dragons are 4.00 (3/1) not to lose.

The talented midfielder started the October’s match against Bosnia but picked up an ankle injury in the process and was unable to feature against Cyprus.

Andy King, Simon Church and Dave Edwards are all unavailable, but star players Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen are all fit to play.
